AjA Students Meet Khaled Hosseini
Participants in the Journey program had the opportunity to meet with Khaled Hosseini, the widely respected author of The Kite Runner and the newly published novel, A Thousands Splendid Suns.
During our SLR workshop, YACers learned the basics of exposure- Aperture and Shutter Speed.

YAC Winter Retreat 2007
On the way to the retreat on Palomar Mountain, we ran into some snow in Julian. After a nice and cold snow ball fight, we headed into town for some apple pie.
On the way, Famo and Faduma saw landscapes that reminded them of Kenya [see photo], and some YACers enjoyed their first experience in the snow.
Once at the cabin, YACers renewed their committment to the YAC and discussed the Spring workshops. A YAC election was held and Milano was voted in as Chairperson and Amed as Secretary.
